This is the Woodley Family Cemetery on Newland Rd. outside of Cherry NC. To get to the cemetery, if coming from Cherry heading toward Roper, the cemetery is on the right, 1.3 miles past the Mt. Herman United Methodist church. If coming from Roper toward Cherry, the cemetery is on the left, .4 miles past the Lake Phelps Volunteer Fire Department. Sometimes there is a sign up, but on the day I took these pictures, there was not. The cemetary is behind a cornfield and next to a blue house with a screened front porch running the length of the house (the old George Franklin Woodley home).
